Manic Monday
As I sit at my windowless desk at Lunds and Byerly's Catering munching on Frito's, Diet Cherry Coke and left over chicken I am reminded how truely fortunate I am.
An Edina Alumni Classmate of mine was killed last Thursday while walking his dog with his wife, by a falling tree branch in Seattle. These questions come to mind:
What if they would have taken a different route?
What if they would have left there house 20 seconds later?
What would God do this?
What is the benefit?
Why make this wife suffer after she watched her husband die?
Then I remember----GOD IS IN CONTROL. It's not up to me to ask the "what if's". Frankly, it's none of my business. When I ask those questions, I am reminded that I do not know better than God. His hands are on every situation, good and bad.
I want to be a martyr for Jesus. I want him to speak through me and allow me to pray honestly for those in pain.
I don't know the beliefs that my classmate and his wife had/have, but I do know that I can do MY part by....1. Shutting off the questions and 2. prayer for the wife and family.
I am so so so fortunate for every single MINUTE I can spend with my family, it's so AWESOME. Thank you, Jesus, for minutes in time.

Halloween 2009
Even though Lily wasn't feeling well--she stuck it out and dressed up as a Purple Fairy next to her twin sis, Olivia, who was a Poodle Skirt Girl!

Raking
The raking in our backyard seems to be a neverending story this year! As you can see from this picture, we certainly are blessed with help.
From left to right--Shealyn (age 9.75) Lily (age 6.25) and Kora (age 3.75).
It's important to add the decimal points at this stage of life, I'm sure you remember when... :)
More pictures and blogs to come!
